Flight Dynamics and Control Laboratory

We are a research group focused on the geometry of dynamics, controls, and artificial intelligence for aerospace systems.

Hello, I’m Taeyoung

We are intrested in anything related to flight, both in air and space.

Dr. Taeyoung Lee is a professor of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at The George Washington University, with a passion for exploring the intersection of engineering and mathematics. He received his Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering and an M.S. in Mathematics from the University of Michigan in 2008.

The Flight Dynamics and Control Laboratory (FDCL), which he directs, focuses on differential geometric perspectives of dynamics, control, and learning for various aerospace systems and robotics. FDCL values fundamental and innovative ideas, rigorous mathematical analysis, elegant presentation, and, most importantly, taking pride in and enjoying the process. Welcome to our lab!
