Flight Dynamics and Control Laboratory
We are a research group focused on the geometry of dynamics, controls, and artificial intelligence for aerospace systems.
Hello, I’m Taeyoung
We are interested in all aspects of flight, both in air and space.
Dr. Taeyoung Lee is a Professor of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at The George Washington University, with research interests at the intersection of engineering and applied mathematics. He received his Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering and an M.S. in Mathematics from the University of Michigan in 2008.
The Flight Dynamics and Control Laboratory (FDCL), which he directs, focuses on geometric approaches to dynamics, control, and learning for aerospace systems and robotics. FDCL emphasizes fundamental and innovative ideas, rigorous mathematical analysis, and clear, elegant presentation. Above all, we value curiosity and take pride in the research process.
Welcome to our lab!
